FAQ's
>> Bringing your account to us

Can I keep my old number?
Yes, this is included (where required) as part of our service. We will be responsible for liaising with your network and will take care of all the details.

What if I am in the middle of a contract, or have multiple contracts that end at different times?
Call us to discuss your needs. We can take care of consolidating your contracts so as to obtain the best deal.

Will I be able to keep track of my staff's mobile phone usage?
Yes, your bill will include separate details for each handset, allowing you to monitor your expenditure.

I only want one phone - is this possible?
Yes. We can supply one phone or thousands, as long as they are for business use.

How will my handsets be delivered?
A Talking Business representative will deliver your handset(s) in person at a time that suits you. If you wish, we will use this opportunity to provide training on how to make the best use of them.

>>For existing customers

I already have some phones with you, can I connect more?
Yes. As your need for mobile phones increases, your Account Manager is ideally placed to offer you the best deals and advice. Orders will be processed quickly to ensure you receive new, connected phones when you need them.

What do I need to do to use my phone abroad?
· Get in touch with Talking Business or your network provider and arrange for the automatic roaming bar to be lifted from your handset (some customers may be requested to supply a bond prior to lifting the bar). This will enable your handset for use abroad.

· If you plan to make extensive use of your phone outside the UK, it is a good idea to make sure you are on the best price plan. Talking Business can advise on this.

· You need to be sure your network provider has coverage in the country you are visiting. For USA and Canada, you need to make sure your handset is compatible (some are, some aren't), as they use a different kind of network.

· Set up your voicemail security code before you leave the country, to ensure that you can access your messages abroad.

· Remember to take your charger and international mains adaptors with you.

How do I set up my voicemail security code?
O2: Dial 1780 free from your mobile before you leave the country.

Vodafone: Dial 121 from your mobile and select option 4: mailbox settings from the menu. Then select option 2. You will be asked to change your security code.

My phone is asking for a PUK code - what do I do?
Call us to obtain your PUK code. A PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) is required when your 4-digit PIN has been entered incorrectly more than three times. This code will unblock your phone and allow you to choose a new PIN number.

My phone has been lost or stolen - what do I do?
Call Talking Business and we will contact your network immediately to make sure no calls can be made from your missing phone(s).

In addition to disabling calls from that account, the network can identify the handset by its unique IMEI number and deactivate it, so neither the SIM card nor the phone itself can be used on any UK network.

If you wish, you can report your phone lost or stolen by contacting the network direct.
